Prestige Cleaners, Inc. of Sacramento provides dry cleaning and laundry services to commercial and retail customers from Northern California. With more than 30 years experience in the industry, Prestige specializes in quality service at a reasonable price. All dry cleaning and laundry is completed by our staff on site at the Prestige Cleaners plant in Sacramento.

As the first dry cleaner in the world to test and exclusively use the patented GreenEarth® Cleaning process, Prestige provides its customers environmentally friendly and safe cleaning. The GreenEarth® Cleaning process enables Prestige to produce clothing that looks, feels and smells better than traditional dry cleaning methods.

Since 1999 Prestige Cleaners has served as the affirmation site for the GreenEarth® Cleaning process. This specialized process is proven to lengthen garment life and enable Prestige to gently and safely clean garments with unusual decoration or trim. Prestige Cleaners continues to serve as the central affirmation site for perfecting environmentally friendly detergents and additives for the GreenEarth® Cleaning process.

Jim Douglas, Owner
Jim Douglas is the Owner of Prestige Cleaners and Technical Director of GreenEarth® Cleaning. Jim began his dry cleaning career with Swanson's Cleaners located in Sacramento in 1969. He was co-owner and served as President of the company from 1988 to 1998. During his tenure, he operated the largest dry cleaning plant in the United States, serving as many as 115 locations from a single central plant.

Jim, a graduate of Northern Arizona University, is licensed by the State of California to teach and certify drycleaners for California's mandatory certification program (ATCM). He is a member of the California Air Resources Board's Task Force and was the Chairperson for the Legislative Environmental Committee for the California Cleaners Association. He has also been certified by the International Fabricare Institute (IFI/DLI) as a CPD, CPW and a CED drycleaner.
